Mutable Music was commissioned by the Center for New Music and Audio Technologies (CNMAT) at UC Berkeley. It was premiered at CNMAT in 2012 by pianist Gloria Cheng.

In Mutable Music I set to augment and transform the acoustic piano through artificial resonance and timbral mutation. It is a reflection on Ligeti's dreamy Arc-en-ciel, with its shifting harmonies and colors.
